This is a poem of mine. I wrote this a few days ago when i watched the news and saw what was going on in the world. Got me thinking about how we live and ignore the suffering. Well some of us do and i'm guilty of that charge because i refuse to watch the news. Anyway it moved me to write this poem. It's called 'A Single Scream.'
A Single Scream.
A single scream; a single, burning scream,
Agony-ridden; Fear-Inducing.
Not here nor there; male nor female
Just a Single Scream.
A single scream; A single, piercing scream,
Mind-numbing; Heart-breaking
Across mountains, seas and valleys.
Just a Single Scream.
A single scream; A single, crying scream,
Soul-searching; A lonely scream
Alone to bear it's own pain
Just... A... Single... Scream...
